Interning in the Global Community!
The Global & Federal Fellows Programs are hosting an in-person panel event, "Interning in the Global Community" during International Week! This is a fantastic event for undergraduate students interested in globally oriented internships! Our wonderful alumni panel would be discussing their internship experiences with the U.S. Department of State, Embassy of Spain, and United Nations Institute for Training and Research in Geneva!

Alumni Panel Biographies:
Graham Dilworth - United Nations Insitute for Training and Research in Geneva 
Graham is a Graduate Assistant for the Federal and Global Fellows Program and is a Master of Public Policy candidate with a concentration in International Development Policy. He graduated from the University of Maryland this past Spring with a Bachelor of Public Policy and a minor in Spanish Language and Culture. This past summer, he was a Multilateral Diplomacy Trainee with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in Geneva, Switzerland. At this position, he helped run trainings and degree programs for diplomats and government workers from the Global South to shrink the disparity in education available to government representatives from the developing and developed worlds. Prior to this, he both interned and worked at the International Rescue Committee in Silver Spring as an Employment Specialist. This role revolved around placing recently arrived refugees in their first jobs in the United States and he was serving in this position when Kabul fell to the Taliban. 

Sabrina LaBold - Embassy of Spain
Sabrina is a senior double majoring in Government and Politics and Environmental Science and Policy with a concentration in Environmental Economics. As a Federal Fellow, she was a part of the Energy and Environmental Policy concentration and concluded the program with an internship at the Embassy of Spain in the Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food office. In this internship, she had the opportunity to engage in a culture exchange program while working with other Fellows students as well as students from a university in Spain. Sabrina's other internship experiences include time at the U.S. House of Representatives and working in Government Affairs for a global organization. 

Caroline Tristani - State Department Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs
Caroline is a senior majoring in Criminology & Criminal Justice with a double minor in Global Terrorism Studies and Law & Society. She started interning with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) over the summer after completing a short-term study abroad program in Thailand. As a Federal Fellow, Caroline was in the Homeland and National Security Policy concentration and participated in the U.S. Department of State’s Student Internship Program. She also has experience working as a congressional intern with the U.S. House of Representatives and as a legal assistant with a local law office.
