WIAA Day is an event dedicated to inspiring the next generation of female aerospace engineers! Taking place on the University of Maryland's campus, the entire day will be devoted to showing attendees what it's like to be a woman in the field of aerospace engineering. Highlights include a keynote speaker, lab tours, and a design activity, though more information will be available closer to the event. Lunch and an event T-shirt will be provided for attendees!

Q: Are only female-identifying students allowed to attend WIAA Day?
A: Students of all gender identities are welcome at our events!
Q: Is there a fee associated with attending WIAA Day?
A: Since we provide food, T-shirts, and have to fund design activities for the event, there will more than likely be a cost to attend WIAA Day. That exact number will be calculated based on the results of this form, as we'd like to know about how many people we can expect to attend the event before assigning a cost. [UPDATE AS OF 03/06/2023: WIAA Day will be free for all attendees for the 2023 event.]
Q: Is there a scholarship available for students that can't afford to attend WIAA Day?
A: Yes! Cost should not be a barrier to your attendance of WIAA Day. If you believe you may need assistance, please email us at: wiaaterps@gmail.com
Q: Will I need to chaperone my student?
A: For liability purposes: yes. There is a limit of three students per chaperone. Chaperones will also be provided lunch and if they'd like a T-shirt we can certainly do so as well! Just email us at wiaaterps@gmail.com if you are a chaperone and would like a T-shirt, and include your name and size in the email.
