Welcome! We are Team BASIC!

A new and innovative treament for cancer patients is Adoptive Cell Transfer Therapy (ACT). However, it is expensive, lengthy and uses up a lot of resources. Team BASIC aims to make ACT more efficient and effective by altering the pH of the intracellular cancer environment.

Support our Research on Launch UMD!

Team BASIC needs YOUR support in order to continue our project. We have already gotten $5000 of funding for our first 6 months of experiments, and we're going to need more funding in order to keep on going for the next 6 months!

Team BASIC needs funding for items such as media to keep our cells alive, a pH probe that will allow us to accurately measure the pH of our solutions, and sterile filters to help create our media. Even a small donation will allow us to buy safety equipment such as gloves and goggles, which are very important!
