Mortar Board is the premier national honor society recognizing college seniors for superior achievement in scholarship, leadership and service.
In order to apply, you must have a minimum of 72 credits and a minimum of a 3.47 GPA. You also need to be graduating no earlier than Fall 2014 because you must be able to devote one full semester to your membership. Therefore, you must be a JUNIOR or a senior NOT graduating in May 2014.
If selected, a one time membership fee of $125 will be due prior to the initiation ceremony. Chapter dues will be sent to the Mortar Board National Office and a portion of the money will be used for chapter funds. More information will be provided to newly admitted members. The Mortar Board National Office does provide scholarships for new members. You can apply for these scholarships at
mortarboard.org.
Also, please be aware that our orientation and induction ceremony are both mandatory. We empathize with your time constraints, however we require that all newly selected members be in attendance at both of these events.
Orientation will be on March 27th.
Induction will be during the day on April 6th.
This application must be submitted by February 14th at 11:59PM.
