Spring Grill n' Chill Open Mic Sign-up
To close off the semester, three Honors College Student Orgs (SPC, Black Honors Caucus, and W.E.B. Du Bois Honor Society) have decided to partner up and collaborate on our annual Spring Grill n' Chill event on Friday, May 11th (Reading Day). This year, for the first time ever, we will be combining the classic "grilling and chilling" with student performance.
This Open Mic portion will be similar to SPC's Coffeehouse Event and BHC's Poetic Justice. ALL TYPES OF STUDENT ACTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SIGN UP! IT'S FREE! WE HAVE ALL TYPES OF EQUIPMENT!
Typical acts range from singing, instrument playing, and group performances to stand-up comedy, dance, slam poetry, spoken word, art, and maybe even juggling, if we're lucky. Any form of talent is welcome to sign-up.
Once you fill out this form, you will be contacted to confirm a time slot of performance. The Open Mic is scheduled to last from 1-3pm -- and this time slot can be lengthened if enough acts sign up and want performance time. PLEASE KEEP YOUR ACTS TO A MAXIMUM OF 12-15 MINUTES! Less than 10 minutes is ideal. Thank you.
PLEASE NOTE: After all of the scheduled performances have concluded, the basement of Anne Arundel will become a true "open mic" in which anyone is welcome to sing Karaoke, perform without notice, and enjoy the piano.
